My 2 cent advise people - Ginger will always remain full ! It's a first kind of a hotel in India ( self service, very clean, central location & cheap ) . It's like a Travel Lodge sort of a place we have in the UK.
Getting a booking in Ginger anywhere in India will be an almost impossible task. I have been trying since the last few months to get a booking in Ginger Delhi & Goa BUT they are always FULL ! No Surprise ![]() Try BNB Chrysalis in Saket ( Trip Advisor ). Stayed there a few weeks back. At 2000 rs a Night and excellent location, AC, and breakfast for 2 included. Fabulous. Try negotiating ( I came from 3000 to 2000 ! )

Dear Delhiwala,
I am raja bringing 40 students on an educational tour to Delhi in the month of Jan. They cannot afford to stay in the posh hotels. Please suggest 1. Where to stay for two days and a night -- dormitry type is enough 2. How to book a bus from here to go around for two days? 3. Is it advisable to look for a bus after arriving there? thanks ![]() |

Dear Raja,
I think you should try booking dormitory at International Youth Hostel at Diplomatic Enclave Area. Great location, very economical too.... may contact them at hostelbooking@yhaindia.org or call at 011-26116285,24101246 You can hire a bus from your location over phone or if you have time may book after coming here too. I think you'll need a mini bus and not a full bus.

My freind just stayed in Ginger - New delhi last week. while i was booking a room for her somewhere in september i got to know that they've recently changed their booking rules and now we can only book a room 15 days prior to the checkin date. The bookings were not available till the 10th day. when i checked the website the next day morning i saw that only twin rooms were available, that means the bookings were happening. Later when i checked with the local staff at new delhi i was informed that they've given prefrences to those guest who sent them an Email request with their Credit Card nos & expiry date. so i had no other option and booked a twin room for my friend.
So i would suggest you to keep checking the the booking status and follow-up with the local staff. Dont rely on their Call centre. Also always keep an alternate option available. Cheers...!!! Ankur |
