alternative Delhi and Agra....

hi
going on a trip to india in november, mainly to visit kolkata/darjeeling/singala ridge.
My travelling buddy hasn't been to Delhi and Agra and would love to go but.... i've already been, so aswell as seeing the obvious "must-sees" again (delhi: red fort, quatb minar. agra: taj mahal) could you suggest some alternative sights to keep me amused ? any under-rated favourites ? cheers

Definitely the Railway Museum. It is a first-class facility. I kind of like the zoo, too, but it is not a first-class facility by any means.

Anything where you can get out and do some walking on the street to experience Delhi. This is much easier now with the Metro, you can take it to Kashmir Gate and walk around the neighborhood, ot take it to near Delhi U and walk around the campus.
