airport to station/paharganj....pls help

hii, how do i go from airport(domestic) to paharganj area/new delhi station?
any public transport , i would prefer bus..........taxi will be costly fr me!
pls let me know the no. of bus and from where to take the ride, and where to get down?
also some good cheap hotels at paharganj.........if u all can sugest, and will i need a ac room in may or a non ac room wil do?
does delhi tourism conduct sightseeing tour? if any the cost of it?
what will be the cost of lunch and dinner , approx at paharganj hotels?

I am not too sure of buses however a pre paid taxi from IGI to ND railway station won't cost you more than 250 bucks. I paid Rs 220 last October.
The bus will take hell lotta time but if you got enough, Its quite an interesting mode of transport.

If boarding an Auto, make sure that you get it pre paid, even if there's no pre paid police booth available. Just negotiate with the Auto wala and decide on an amount before you board it. You may end up paying 10-20 bucks more if you would have known the ways (I am assuming you don't), But if you go by the meter and If you don't know the shortest route, he will amke sure that he takes you via the longest possible route with the largest amount that could be displayed on the meter.

There's a bus that goes from the international terminal (and probably via the domestic one) straight to New Delhi railway station (Ajmeri Gate side), it costs Rs 50 and takes about an hour. Hassle-free and convenient, not to mention cheap!
