Airport - Lotus Temple - Nizamuddin station

This will sound crazy, but I'll ask anyway.

I'm due to arrive at the International airport at 04:30 on Saturday, I need to get to Nizamuddin by about 08:20 (for a 08:45 departure), so I'm guessing that I'd need to leave the Lotus Temple by 07:50

If I get out of the airport and into a taxi by 05:45 (only carry-on luggage), I may be able to get to the Lotus Temple by 06:30, I'm guessing the roads will be reasonably quiet, this will give me 1 hour & 15 minutes to look at the temple before I have to leave for Nizamuddin station.

Is this enough time?

Am I missing something?

One more question, is there any fog forcasted for Saturday morning?

Thanks for any information.

Do you mean is it long enough to see the lotus temple? I've been there twice. The first time was during school holidays and on a weekend and it was packed. We queued for about 20 minutes to get in, then we sat for about 5/10 minutes inside in supposedly silent contemplation before the next lot were let in.

The second time it wasn't half as busy but the deal was the same- just shorter queues.

There's also a museum but I don't know if it's open that time of the morning. It's mainly about the Bahai mission around the world and can be seen in 30 - 40 minutes.

I hope that's what you meant...

Yes, is it long enough to see the temple, I wasn't planning to go inside (unless it's really special inside), I just wanted to have a look at the outside, then maybe find somewhere to sit, relax and look at the temple for half an hour.

I'm also wondering if I've got the travel times to/from the temple correct.

Thanks for the info.

Off in 3 hours.

The plan....is to decide what to do when I'm on the plane.

Got to be in hyderabad at the end of the month, then along the Godavari river (had planned to do this on my last trip, better late than never)

Other than that, I know a few places I want to visit, will just try to fit them in as I go.

I hope I am not too late...however please make sure that Temple is open at that hour ...

secondly the light might not be very good before 7:30 AM...

From Lotus Temple to NZM it would take 15-20 minutes...

Saturday Morning may be unusually foggy...OR hazy..because today is Diwali and all those crackers add a lot to the pollution...

Saturday is Vishwakarma Day, as mentioned earlier, most of the people do not touch their working 'instruments'..finding transportation might not be as as easy as on normal days...(Just a guess though)..

These are just few pointers to be kept in mid...otherwise it does look doable, but keep in mind the smog factor..!!
