adventure activity in delhi

hi guys,

i usually spend my weekwnds watching a movie. but this time, i plan to do something different .... i want to go rock/wll climbing or other such adventure activity.

does anyone know of a place that i could go to .......

althogh any plcae would do, but since i m in east delhi, any place close to there would be much better .....

also has anyone gone to "adventure island" . how is it?

MHE Adventure Park, Damdamma Lake 49 Kms from Delhi offers lot of adventure activities at one place

hey ronak .... infact after reading your post i called up the place ...
it might turn out to be a bit expensive than what i had in mind .... what they have is a packeage of 850 that includes morning tea, lunch, and evening tea with the adventure activites for one day one person ..... added to the cost pertol that we would have, a two person trip might be 2500/-or beyond .... i m not sure if i m ok with something that much ..... initially i was hoping to go to a place that might have an artifical rock to climb/mountain bike/etc. etc ........but not lunch at al .....
although this is the only option i have .i might just end up going there ........ in the next 2 weeks or so ....... but in the meanwhile, if you know of any cheeper place for these activites, plz let me know as well ........

if i happen go go here ...... i would definately let you know ...

Well don't have much idea about other places, but if i come across something will def. let you know. But I am sure there would be more of such places in & around delhi. Keep searching.

so you want adventure.. huh...

board a blueline from Anand Vihar to Dhaula Kuan, then from dhaula kuan to vikas puri, from there to Mukherji Nagar, from there to Kashmiri gate and then back to Anand vihar.

you'll get more adventure than you can handle ;-)

The Max hospital is quite close to Ananad Vihar ISBT.

hey guys, thanks a lot for the wonderful suggestions.... i must admit that most of these are much more thrilling than any rock-climbing etc. can provide .......

However, since i have been exposed to this delhi bus transport adventure for many years, i just wanted to try some thing differnt .... ;-)

so guys, if you have any places in mind, please inform me about them.

i have finally managed to find out about one adventure club - Ramjas Sports and Mountaineering Institute

but i have not been managed to speak to them (no one picks up the phone)

does any one know of/heard about/been to this place ......alternativly does anyone have another contact number for this place ....

Its very near to my home..primarily used by NCC scouts...its in Patel Nagar and you have to enter from the Anand parbat side I guess...

wd u also know the procedure for normal people to undertake activited like rock-climbing in this place .........or is it only for NCC / members ......... thanks
