A good place to buy tripods.....

I am staying in R K Puram, New Delhi for about a month. I just recently bought my first DSLR (Canon EOS 450 D) and was hoping someone could recommend a good place for buying a decent tripod for it. Places in and around South Delhi and CP will be great. Also, recommendations on a good tripod to start with (mostly for outdoor landscape photography) would be greatly appreciated.
