trip to darjeeling and gangtok
hi.........
i m planning to go to darjeeling and gangtok with my friends in the month of july ( 2nd week ). i have heard about the rains in july which leads to land slides and road blokages. is it really true?????. i m confused, please help me out as soon as possibe, because i have get my reservations done also. bye.... |

It might not be specific to July.....when i said similar i meant the trip in general...but read through them, theres always a possibility that July is discussed inside the threads...

Yes, during the monsoon there are often problems with land slides and road blockages. Because of the rain and mist, the views aren't all that great during the monsoon, either, so July probably isn't the best time of year for travel in Sikkim. Often the road blockages are cleared pretty quickly, but you still might get stuck waiting for a number hours, in a line of vehicles.
