Toy Train Service From NJP to Darjeeling

I will fly to Bagdogra saturday, in everning will be in Darjeeling, will it be possible to buy ticket for next day or after next day there?

Anyone know if the Toy Train is up running now? Heard it should be fixed by November?

Clear trip is saying that there is a train running but won't say about availability.

As of now two options are available
One is Joyride i.e. for 2 hrs from Darjeeling to Darjeeling and you can book ticket on IRCTC website
NJP to Darjeeling line is not operational and only operation from Kurseong to Darjeeling is operation, which can also be booked online.
For joy ride as start and destination station are same so use DJ ( Darjeeling) and DJRZ ( To Darjeeling) while booking the ticket throught IRCTC.

Thanks guys, can anyone recommend a nice place to stay in Darjeeling? We're on a budget. Does this season normally get busy and is it worth booking ahead?

We've just come from the Kumbh Mela and will be leaving Varanasi soon... prices have tripled around here and its so so busy - looking forward to something a bit slower paced

Best place (To get a nice view) is Dolphin Hotel.
Else try the Ghymkhana One. I had been to the latter and it is quite a good place to stay at. They serve only Veg Food.

If you are not location-specific, I would rather suggest you to head towards Kalimpong and stay at Morgan's House.
