Start in Darjeeling or Gantok?
Namaste,
we will arrive in Bagdogra in the afternoon? What choice would you prefer? Darjeeling or Gangtok? Is there a taxi, pick-up, bus which drives to Darjeeling or Gangtok after 5 PM- we heard it will be too late. What do you think: is it necessary organizing a private jeep?Thanks for your help! |

Welcome to Indiamike ganesha69,
There are plenty of shared jeeps/taxis/buses plying to both these places from Siliguri.However traveling after 5 pm will be a problem.I suggest you stay that night at Siliguri (8-9 km from airport) & on next day head towards Gangtok / Darjeeling .Distance wise Darjeeling is nearer than Gangtok. Darjeeling is 79 km from Siliguri ....you can also go there by toy train.While hill station Darjeeling located in West Bengal state, Gangtok is in Sikkim. Hope this helps.
