Everything open in Darjeeling at Christmas ?

We will be in Darjeeling around Christmas Day.
As we live on the East coast of USDA, we can tolerate the temperature but my question is, if we will be able to enjoy all the activities and places to visit.

Are there any places closed at that time ?
Will we still have transport to Tiger Hill ?
Will the Toy Train still run ?

It's hard to say of course, but I don't think generally things will close down for XMas. If anything, transport and accommodation and so on (and hence, public sights one presumes) are likely to be more crowded; not because it's an especially observed holiday as such (as was noted on another recent thread again, you may not notice much of anything going on at all by way of festivities), but just like in the West the general period is a public holiday, so people will be vacationing.

Yes, everything remains open in Darjeeling during Christmas - including the toy train. Expect it to be crowded - so better if you get your ticket for toy train in advance. It can be purchased through the IRCTC online booking site. Ideally the weather should be good and you should get some magnificent views of Kanchenjanga from Darjeeling.
