Disruptions Expected ; Darjeeling / Sikkim
Theision hills and the Doars are bracing for a spell of STRIKES in the peak Tourist Season. A 24 hr. north Bengal STRIKE begins Wed 22nd Oct. also an 'Inde-finite' STRIKE willbegin that day. The Shiv Sena has called for a 48hr. STRIKE in SILIGURI subdivision, parts of JALPAIGURI ON Tues. This in turn will affect your Entry or Exit from Darjeeling / Sikkim. If you happen to be on a train coming into town during this period expect to be 'hold up' for HOURS in the middle of nowhere.
