Why 14th August ????
Hello..
Why does Pakistan celebrate its Independence on the 14th Aug.and not 15th Aug.? As both the countries got independence at the same time .... Thanks

Pakistan was created and freed from the British India on 14th. and then Britishers left India the very next day on 15th. Is that clear?

If I remember my rusted history correctly, Pakistan was formed on Aug 14, 1947 and not on the same day as independance of India was declared. When Pakistan was formed on Aug 14, it was still referred to as independent from "British India" till mid-night when India became free of British Raj.
