Myanmar would be great but failing that I suggest KL with a side shopping trip to Singapore. So much to do in Malaysia including great beaches and the mountains (or hills). Gotta say it isn't cheap though. Hong Kong no, if Dubai go up to Sharjah for some culture, Colombo maybe not just now..

This is a free offer... completely non-negotiable.
I'm highly suspicious of this sort of thing anyway --- remember the UK Hoover free-flight-offer debacle?--- so I won't cry if it never happens.

Is there fine print on the back of your free offer certificate or whatever? Check it out - we got free air tickets and accommodation when we purchased air conditioners last Divali. Turns out that for every ticket you paid 1600 rupees per request and you weren't guaranteed your first choice. Then for the accommodation it was around 500 rupees per request. You couldn't tie in the accommodation with the air flight... And for each request you had to put in 3 preferences. Requests had to be in by 14 days later. It was all so confusing and for some it was cheaper to book a cheap air flight ( the money was going to some agent called Vacation Holidays or something like this!), that we hrew the lot in the boiler!
However, if it is genuine, and you don't have to pay anything like this or the airline taxes etc. then go for Singapore. A complete contrast to the chaos of India, totally hassle free and tensionless place, find a nice cheap budget hotel and do all the tourist things- night safari, Sentosa island etc. I had a stopover there a few years back for 3 days and really enjoyed it but i wouldn't go back again. It will be a relaxing holiday for you!! |

Heaps of fine print. In fact it is so fine I had to scan it and enlarge it!
We have to pay all those things like taxes --- the stuff that makes those Rs15 rupee fares cost quite a bit more. But there is no tie-in with accommodation --- it is an air ticket only. Otherwise I don't think I'd touch it. like I say... I have some scepticism here about such things! |

The nice thing abt colombo is that it is base to reach lots of wonderful places - Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Candy - these are great places.
Colombo is like Chennai, but, the other places i mentioned are really nice. you must visit them if u can. |
