A friend of mine did an Everest Base Camp trek a number of years ago and he said it was "really cold". I don't know exactly what temperature he was talking about but he did say he'd never felt colder in his life than he did at night during the trek, so I suspect it was pretty darned cold. I would expect that in November, at that altitude, the temperatures will be very low, particularly at night even if the daytime temperatures are moderate. In spite of being cold, my friend was extremely glad he did the trek. He said it was fantastic.

If you are going with a trekking outfit, they should be able to provide you with temperature information.

At 5,360 metres it's up there in the snow and ice country and November will be even colder I should imagine. I guess the trekking people you are going with will make sure you have correct clothing etc.

Alcohol + altitude exacerbated by cold are actually not such a splendid combination.

Do a search on this site for "AMS" (acute mountain sickness/altitude sickness).

Thanks for your advise!! i quite worry about d AMS too, i did Mount Kota Kinabalu (4095m) 3 years ago. Is normal for me, but cant compare to EBC (5160m), i ever bring alcohol before..

I m quite doubtful of the weather, i hope i can do it tis year

Heheh, well, 4K is quite some ways up -- good to know you have some experience behind you

Good luck with it, others here will help you out, it's not really my turf.

Alcohol and cold is a lethal combination.

The warm glow that you feel is your blood going to the surface of your skin as the small vessels there are opened up by the alcohol. What you feel is your body loosing heat, instead of maintaining its core temperature.

Absolutely correct.

In an emergency, your core temp needs to be maintained. If peripheral temp goes down, you may lose a few fingers/toes. Not your life.

If you take alcohol, the periphery gets the "warm glow" at the cost of core temp, which can lead to death.

Not trying to alarm you, just saying that "don't ever consume alcohol in a cruch situation at high altitude."
