I'm planning a trip to Thailand from 6th to 13th January 2018. I wish to cover Bangkok-Pattaya (in two days) and Krabi Islands and Phuket. How should I plan my itinerary?

Thanks in advance!

The day you arrive in Bangkok, Take the bus straight to Pattaya from the airport. It will take about 1.5 hrs.
After Pattaya you can get back to Bangkok to either fly or catch a train to Phuket.
From Phuket get a ferry to Krabi.
After Krabi back to Bangkok and spend your time there before flying out.

4 destinations in one week? Highly recommend you drop Pattaya.

If it's nightlife you seek you will find more than you can handle in Bangkok and Phuket and if it's ocean swimming then Krabi and Phuket offer far better alternatives. Assume you are flying in/out of Bangkok so give this some thought:

Day 1&2 Bangkok
Day 3-5. Krabi
Day 6-7. Phuket
Day 8 Bangkok & home.

If nightlife is priority 1 then move to Phuket one day earlier.

It is much easier to fly from Bangkok to Phuket and Krabi than taking the train which drops you at Surat Thani on the other(east) side of the peninsular. Both Phuket Island and Krabi have their own airports. Long distance bus journeys in Thailand can be wearing or even frightening.

Phuket Island is large with several resort towns on the west side and the commercial centre, Phuket Town, in the south. Patong is the largest and most crowded resort town, something like Pattaya, but the smaller places are more pleasant.

The commercial centre in Krabi is Krabi Town which lies on an estuary but has no beach. The closest beach strip to Krabi is Ao Nan(g).

If you travel by ferry between Phuket Town and Krabi, it is worth going via Koh Phi Phi island which is amazingly scenic and more fun to stay in than any of the other places mentioned.

Hi guys. Thanks for your suggestions. So the tickets have been booked. Itinerary so far is as follows:

Saturday, January 6: Depart from Delhi
Sunday, January 7: Reach and Stay in Bangkok
Monday, January 8: ___
Tuesday, January 9: ___
Wednesday, January 10: ___
Thursday, January 11: ___
Friday, January 12: ___
Saturday, January 13: Reach and stay in Bangkok
Sunday, January 14: Arrive back to Delhi

We are a family of 4. I'm confused between choosing either the East Coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao) or the West Coast (Phi Phi Islands, Ao Nang, Railey Beach) to travel to in the days in between. Since we are a family of 4, we would prefer picturesque, peaceful places which would also offer water sports/activites. Staying in Bangkok on 7th and 13th is a must but the remaining days are free. Would really appreciate your advice on which coast to travel to and also in planning the itinerary for the same from Bangkok.

Thanks alot in advance!
