nb In Sevilla again, for archeology buffs there's Itálica just 8 kms. from town, the first Roman town in Spain, only partly restored I believe. Said to be quite good, I haven't visited. I read now it's supposed to have one of the biggest Roman amphitheaters (capacity of 25,000 guests) among some other interesting stuff.

In town, the Museo Arqueológico a little down south of the center, set in a nice park in itself, is worth a visit if this is your kind of thing and exhibits finds from Itálica and other Roman sites I believe, as well as older Iberian finds & from the mysteriously disappeared Tartessos culture.

Zeppy's right about the current weather but it's impossible to say if there won't be a sudden change. I prefer my winters crisp instead of wet, but...

Anyway, have fun, let us know how you fared by all means. I guess with the pickpockets just keep your valuables in a moneybelt & your wallet safely in your front pants pocket or so (oh, cross-posted with Zeppy... well arguably stuff does happen of course). But do be a little careful yes, esp. in crowded and touristy places. Keep your shoulder bag or daypack on your chest in dodgy areas, makes you look silly but it's certainly safer. Have some extra feelers out for dodgy folks too, of whom you'll see plenty however, not all of them necessarily evil.

Weather update to the OP if he still logs on: Weather in the Netherlands at least has finally made that turn and now ranges from ca. 5C by day to light frost at night, expected to get colder over the coming time. So pack those woollens, brrr The good news is it's stopped raining all the time (lots of chilly wet fog though).
