Transport strike Indian border to Pokhara

Just received an email regarding a general transport strike from Mar 6 to Mar 24. Apparently there will be no buses or transport to Pokhara from Sunauli during this time.

Can anyone confirm this information?

We'll be at the India/Nepal border late March early April and plan travel overland to Pokhara as we did in Nov 2006. We actually took a bus from Varanasi then from Paul's travel near the railway staion. It cost 600 INR inc accom in Sunauli & transferred 6am the next morning to a bus for KTM. Cheap compared to flying from Delhi.
