Sun set in the river Padma
Last Friday we went for a day long boat trip in the River Padma. The Padma is a major river in Bangladesh. It is the main distributary the Ganges (Gongga) originating from the Himalaya. It enters Bangladesh from India near Chapai Nababganj. It meets the Jamuna river near Aricha and retains its name, but finally meets with the Meghna river near Chandpur and takes the name Meghna before flowing into the Bay of Bengal.
Rajshahi, a major city in western Bangladesh, is situated on the north bank of the Padma. We started our journet from Rajshahi.
