Srilanka Tour for Honeymoon

Hi Mikers,

Once again i am in need of your help to plan my next trip. I am very much excited as its my Honeymoon Trip.

I was in search of a place where i can spend more time rather than cut my vacation days for any particular location.

So finally i found Srilanka which comes in my budget and ofcourse of my choice (Beach Location).

I am planning a trip for 10/11 nights. I am desperate to do honeymoon at Beach location. I searched for Srilanka, Maldives and Mauritius. But Srilanka is only location which comes in my budget. My budget is around 65,000 INR for couple.

I would like to get details about locations as well as prices/packages.

I am very much interested to get good details about prices (Hotels, Sight sin and local transportation).

Had been there 9 yrs ago, i could suggest the following places.
Start with the hills [ Kandy ] and get down to the coast [ Hikkaduwa ]

• The Sigiriya rock fortress.
• Polonnaruwa
• Kekirawa
• Nuwara Eliya
• Hikkaduwa
• Kandy

We went last December. And we stayed in Alutgama before Bentota but Travelled down to Hikkaduwa, Galle & Mirissa (Mirissa for whale watching, did see two of them!)
Since You are going to be on your honeymoon and probably would not want to spend so much time travelling, I would suggest that you stay for a few days in Bentota and then a few days in Mirissa. And can go to various places from there. Kandy is at quite some distance and if beaches is what you are interested in then I suggest to skip Kandy and stay along the coast.
