Something constructive in Sri Lanka

Yep it's only a week until I go and I want to do something constructive while I'm in SL. As forums in general are based on the value of shared info - it's the first thing that comes to mind. It's hard to get the views of people who work at ground level with westerners on here and whether or not people agreed with what was said knowing what they think about fairness, business, cultural differences, and the general interaction between us, would surely be valuable. I'm sure lots would be relevent to India too!

I'm going back to a place where I know - barmen, a few tuc tuc drivers, a lad who used to tout boat trips, drivers (private car), a hotel manager, shopkeepers, small restaraunt owners and people who just happen to live on the beach.

I've tried hard to keep in touch with lots of folk and I think I could ask without causing any offence and get genuine thoughts in return. It would be a learning experience for me, and for some of them being asked directly what they think we should know would be a first!

It would also be great to take some info from here - so if there's anything you think it would be helpful for them to know stick it in!
