Yes get a Jazz Sim card.

Search on google for Jazz mobile pakistan.

Thanks! Are they easy enough to get hold of, and do you have any idea what they cost? To get my SIM in India I needed a copy of my passport and a photo. Is it similar in Pak? Cheers for your help! :-)

You need a copy of the ID card to get the sim for your mobile.

Thanks PakTraveller. I'm afraid I only saw your reply now and am already back in India! I got a Warid SIM card but found it quite unreliable. My texts didn't seem to reach the UK nor was I reliably able to receive any. Really only useful for calling/texting within Pak itself.

Shere - I wanted to get Jazz (on your recommendation) but ended up getting the first SIM I could find. Half the shops had no idea what I was on about, so I was relieved when someone offered me anything at all! lol!
