security in Lahore ?

Hi folks,

Can anyone who has recently crossed the border at Waga and travelled to Lahore please comment on the situation regarding personal safety for overseas tourists.

Last year a bomb went off in Lahore town centre and killed lots of people. I was hoping to travel to Lahore from Amritsar at end Sept. I am just feeling a bit nervous.

Any comments most welcome.

IM member Wazen recently crossed with no problems. Lahore is quite a safe place, I wouldn't worry too much unless the Pakistan security situation drastically deteriorates in the coming months.

It's also probably my favourite city in the world!
