Unhappy Quake in Bhutan jolts northeast India and rattles Uttaranchal hills

Parts of northeast India on Monday felt the tremors of an earthquake that had its epicentre in Bhutan,
The tremors of the quake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale were reported at 1424 hours from Assam's capital Guwahati as well as Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, reports said.

More details are awaited.

oh! uttranchal hills also rattled due to it and it was felt near uttarkahi, may be liveinhimalayas throws some more light on this.

Sorry can't say much as i slept through it as is usual. whenever a earthquake rattles us I am always sleeping!! But i heard the rattling of the windows, it woke me up infact. No signs of any damage around here, most people just thought it was yet another mountainside being blasted through for yet another road or bridge or dam. There was a loud resounding boom heard at the time and then the shaking!
