Pokhara to Varanasi - flights fly - or overland

Hello all

We're looking to travel from Pokhara to Varanasi but on reading a lot of blogs we're not sure about the best mode of transport.

Can anyone advise if it is possible to fly from Pokhara to Varanasi and how much it might cost?

Otherwise any advise on traveling by bus from Pokhara to the boarder? Where to stay in overnight, either in Bhairawa or Sunauli (Indian or Nepalese side) or even Gorakhpur. And then onwards to either Varanasi directly by bus or to Gorakhpur to get the train to Varanasi? We have heard there are only 4 trains from Gorakhpur to Varanasi but don't know the times?

Any advise really appreciated, thanks!!!

The best and safest way to go to Varanasi is, u both go back to Kathmandu and take a one hour flight to Varanasi, from Pokhara u can take a 7 hour bus drive or 45 minutes flight to kathmandu. Going to Varanasi from Pokhara by road is a difficult task and i will not advice u both to go by road.
While in Pokhara please donot forget to go to Sarangkot, this place is famous for magnificient views of The Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri and Machapuchare, if u r interested in photography, stay at Sarangkot for morning sunrise views.
