Nepal to varanasi route ?? and In varanasi stay??

Hi All,

Looks like i am done with Nepal leg of my trip. Been here a lil over a month.

Right now in Pokhara. Plan to ride through Butwal on the sidhart highway and exit nepal near Siddhartha nagar(i guess) and ride via gorakpur to varanasi.

Please let me know about the road conditions in this route and weather i can make it in one day. I guess its around 450 kms. If not, then is Gorakpur stayable?

Also which budget hotel would you reccomend at around 500 rs range near the river and parking for my motorcycle.

There is just too much information on varanasi in this site and having hard time picking what i need. So above info will be helpfull and will be searching IM parallally also.

Let me answer the same

Its around 485kms. Roads are generally good but interlaced with bumby patches. Can be done in one day if you start pretty early in the morning. Gorakpur is a big bustling city with good stay options. Hotel Prasident is where i stayed as they had good parking place.

Found one 'Hotel Temple on Ganges' at Assi ghat in varanasi. With a view of the river from the window, A cooler at 650 per day offseason rate. Dunno about season rate. Has safe parking for vehicles. Though accisible to public its in eclosed area so relatively safe.
