Nepal Questions

Hi Folks

Leaving for India next month (2nd timee).
I have a few questions regarding some plans to travel through to nepal this time(jan-march 2010 time)

1] is it cheaper/safer to arrange flights in india or arrange them from here (UK)?

2] how do I go about getting a visa for nepal while in india?

3] also what is nepals climate like this time of year?(jan-march)

Thanks In advance.

1) Tickets would be (I believe) cheaper if bought in India.
2) Visa: http://projectvisa.com/countryinfo.asp?countrycode=np
3) Climate: http://www.wordtravels.com/Travelgui.../Nepal/Climate

Hi Discoveringtheforest,

Flights to Nepal are almost always crowded, so my advice is to book in advance. You can get the visa at the arrival at Kathmandu airport or at the border if you go by land. The visa should be paid in Usdollars (I think 25 usdol.)and you also need a couple of photos.

Weather in Jan/Feb at the valley will be perfect, a bit cold at night.

All the best

Jorge
