Is it safe to travel to kathmandu? And is it easy to get to from varanasi?

Cobra,
Nepal still has lot of Mao trouble. There is still a alert for Nepal in most travel sites...pls check with ur travel agent / advisor. |

Just went Varanasi , one day stop in Kushinagar , back to Gorakhpur and took a 13 hour bus ride to Kathmandu via Sonnauli, including two lengthy stops , may have been security related. No poblems getting tickets or at the border.
