Irish Bar - Nepal

hi,

I know this is an India forum but based on everyones knowledged, I'm hoping you have some Nepal experience! Just wondering if you could please please help me - does anyone know if there is an Irish bar in Kathmandu and if there is, do you have the contact details?

The reason for this request, I will be in Kathmandu in September and would really love to see a big football game in Ireland that will only be shown on Irish TV.

thanks for your help!

Paddy Foley's in Thamel. I guess Thamel's where you'll be staying.

Take a look at this map:

http://www.lirung.com/map/map_thamel/Thamel_Map_e.html

Just to the right of the word "Thamel" written in red, you'll see a restaurant called "Yin Yang" marked. If you walk just past that heading north and make a left by Barnes and Noble, if I recall correctly, that's the Irish place. Within stumbling distance of the Kathmandu guesthouse.

Failing that, Kilroy's restaurant is owned by an Irishman. It's down a little alley- see under where it says "taxi stand" in blue on the right hand side of the map.
