Hi IMers,
I would be travelling to Nepal. During my trip I'd carry my laptop and cameras. Now, I would like to know that is there any procedure to declare my items before leaving India so that I am not charged by the Customs Authority while returning back???

If you are travelling by air you can get this done from the customs guys in the airport. I posted the details of this in a thread by Almoraboy.

You may have to look for the office though as you transit..

The road passes through the front of the offices (actually, check posts) and these are easily recognizable.
