Hotel advice needed for Bhutan

Hi friends,

I am planning for a visit to Bhutan from 24th Sep to 3rd Oct 2009. I am keen to travel to Thimphu, Bumthang and Paro.

May you suggest me some budget hotels in Thimphu Bumthang and Paro? My budget is 1000/- INR for a double bedroom with attached bath for one night.

Regards,
Dipanwita Narayan

In Thimphu, you can stay at Hotel TT on the main Norzin Lam, opposite the clock tower. At Rs 500 it's a decent hotel (complete with a geyser and carpets etc)
In Paro you can choose to stay in Joryang'z. It's a bit outside the main city with a fantastic view of the mountain and the valley. At Rs 1300 it is an absolute steal. The rooms are wood panelled and carpets on the floor. Room heater is a standard equipment. Bathrooms have bathtubs. It's a very pretty little hotel, worth every single rupee.
