My only concern is DOES BHUTAN WARRANT SUCH A TOUR(worth spending hard earned money ).should i go for east to west or wrap it up with paro and thimpu.i have been reading a lot about the country but havent been able to make up my mind.I love taking photographs but the country doesnt allow taking photos inside monasteries.sad but i respect the feelings.what it has done is i have no real photos to judge the beauty of the country.I know many of fellow travellers might have visited bhutan.please let know your opinion. |

Bhutan is a lovely country to travel to, but when it comes to trekking, etc, also expensive. I got the feeling that treks are regimented and "made-to-order". I found the East-West drive attractive withe varied terrain. Facilities for tourists are faitly limited outside the large towns.
Does the Snowman/Yeti trek look attractive - that appears to be the iconic trek that is talked about a lot, but I personally have no experience. Monasteries - you have to take a special permit to visit most of the monasteries in the interior. Photography restrictions are mostly limited to the sanctum sanctorums, but otherwise open.
