Going trekking in Bhutan in Oct
I am an Indian national. I am planning to go to Bhutan in early Oct from NJP- I plan to be there ~2 weeks. My main goal is to do the Jomolhari trek - which lasts for 8-9 days.
I have read Natasha's article. Anyone have had experience in doing a trek through a local agency? Can I just show up in Thimpu and then meet the agencies and tell them I am ready to go and join ANY group? How much should I spend? What agency would people recommend? Is it easy to get a decent hotel room for ~500 Rs ONCE I get to Bhutan? thanks Ravi |

I am also looking for information on that. Bhutan Govt. charges a levy of US$200 per day for foreigners. I have heard that this rule is not applicable for indians. some travel agency(bhutan Based) operate in this route, but costingis very high.. several thousand dollars..
please keep informing if you get any information.. |
