Getting to the trekking points without trekking

Hi all,

I really would love to go trekking in Nepal but as I am with my family it will be very hard. But we all love the mountains alot.

So is there any points where we can get to via jeep without trekking? Going in October in the start, can I expect to see the mountains snow capped?

Also I would love to see Tibet too, I would have to apply for a visa when I get to Nepal right?

At the moment I plan to see Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara and Lumbini.
