Ferry between India & Sri Lanka
Ferry between India & Sri Lanka
My partner and I are looking to cross over from the southern tip Kerala (Tuticorn or Trivandrum etc..) into Sri Lanka and eventually make our way to Colombo. We will be in that area this April and are looking to avoid paying the 200$ airlines are asking. Does anyone know of a CURRENTLY RUNNING ferry service/cargo/passenger ship. Not too picky on where it starts in India or ends in Sri Lanka, just as long as she's sea worthy. I have tried to google but the websites are a little unclear, no links, a lot of "promises".
Would appreciate solid link/price information from fellow travelers! I understand that the current ferry is down due to some financial woes etc..

Does anyone know the name of the ship that was impounded, great bearers of wisdom.?
Scotia Prince it turns out. The name on the one in the picture is different. But, they haven't responded to enquiries so unless its incredibly stealthy..
There was a note in the TN press that the impounded ship would be replaced, ambition, reality, maluum nuhii... The fare structure on the above site is the same as the old one so its that same company..
