I used this very site in September and it was working albeit a bit slow. Your options would be to try again in the next few hours or do it the old way of sending it to an embassy near you.

I would be very careful when doing it online, click the finish/submit/apply button once only. I ended up getting charged twice on my card for one visa so $60.00. Still it was worth the convenience of not sending in my passport etc. I was too afraid to decline charges on my card before I entered !

If the site is functional the process is this, you apply with your payment information, they take 24 to 48 hours and you can check back with your confirmation # if you indeed got the Visa or not. Once you are confirmed visa, be sure to print out the visa as you will need this for checking into your Intl flight to Myanmar as well upon entry in Yangon.

Once you arrive, you go to the special EVISA line for immigration/customs line in Yangon.

Hope this helps.

what's the visa like?

many thanks, Travelingbhat!! I have one more question:

how does the visa look like? Is it i a printout that I then attach to my passport and get an arrival stamp in the EVISA corner, or they put a sticker in my passport (=the real visa) on arrival plus a stamp?

so, is it a sticker and a stamp (like Indian visa) or just a stamp and a loose piece of paper attached ( like Russian or UAE visas)?

I'm asking because I have no more separate empty pages for visas in my passports, only space for stamps.

It looks like an online certificate with a tiny pic that you provide and blurb that says you are offiically approved for a visa. You bring along this printout and they put arrival stamp on your passport, no official other visa.

So i think you should be ok.
