1. Does anybody know if it is possible to change euro notes at the Zia int. airport in Dhaka ? Is there any banking service at the airport in the night time ? I will arrive at the airport at 03 Am !!! Open 24 hours or not ?? Is it possible to get some money with visa card at the airport? Is there any ATM-service ??
Where are the best places to change some euro (or US $$) notes for Bangladesh Taka ?? Is there some "black market" ?? Is it better to change at the airport, in the bank in Dhaka city, black market or ...........??? Somebody told me the best rate you can get at the airport. Is that the truth or not ?? Do they charge some commision ?? Shall i bring US$$ notes with me or only euros ??? 2. Does anybody know a travel agency (ticket sales office) in Dhaka city where i can by air tickets. If possible sent me an e-mail address so that i can contact the office. I will fly from Dhaka to Kathmandu and now i am looking for the cheapest ticket. Who can give me some info ? Cosmic air, Biman airways 3. Also, does anybody know a not too expensive room in Dhaka somewhere around the south Kamlapur trainstation? Do they accept foreigners ?? Thanks ! 1. It is possible to change Euro at The Zia International Airport. But have to wait till morning. In recent days banks are giving much price rather than black market. Black market is also risky. So, better to transaction with banks (banking hour 9 am - 3 pm except Friday Govt. holiday). Amex ATM booth available in Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. Visa & Mastercard also widely accepted in Dhaka & Chittagong. But better to carry Euro than USD.
2. As far as I know Cosmic Air offering lower price for Nepal, USD 150/-. You can contact : Olympic Travel, Ph : 880-2-9550722 (Attn : Mr. Mondol). You can also contact me, if needed. My H.P No. 880-17 4044498. 3. The Hotel room near Kamalapur is around USD 5/ Night. Almost hotel accept foreign guests. Thanks |
