Details of Bhutan trip

Hi Indiamikers,

I need some deatils for a trip to Bhutan in the month of December. Dates are 24th Decemeber to 1st Janauary. I want to have every possible info i can get. Some of the main points i require are -

1. Cost of cabs from Bagdogra to Phuntsholing.

2.Cost of cabs for going to different places ( we plan to go to Thimpu, Paro. Require suggestion for other places too.)

3. Cost of hotels. Also any cottage type accomodation available within Rs. 2000 per night?

4. Weather in the last week of December.

5. Kind of food we get there.

6. All possible types of expenditure we might have.

We are just 2 people - me and my husband. So would request all to give whatever help they can.

Look at similar threads on the left hand side. The procedures for Indian nationals differ from non-indians. Foreigners have to pay USD200/day/person for an all inclusive trip.

Truth is very few have travelled to bhutan and even less reply. i too planned a trip but couldnt make it.

weather would be fine.you would get rotis in thimpu and paro.permits are few things you have to get.Negotiate with cab drivers wherever, shouldnt be too much.there is Punakha ,bumthang-swiss of bhutan,wangduephobrang,mongar to visit if you have time.
