I don't know, but there is a crossing between Shillong and Syhlet. The crossing is easy enough with no major problems. Don't change all of your rupees at the border as you can get a better rate from the moneychangers in Syhlet Town. In Syhlet Town you will probably meet a lot of "Cockney Bengalis". It would be an idea to get a Bengali phrase book as even just a few words opens many doors. Abar dekhe hobe!
