From Godagari (Bangla) to Lalgola (India): is it allowed (for foreigners) to exit Bangladesh and enter India via this border point, with a tourist visa ?? Do i need any roadpermit or do i have to pay some departure taxes ?? 2. Border at Gaud: is it possible to visit the acient site at Gaur (India) from the Gaud bordercrossing ? enter/exit same question as above. 3. And how is the situation at the Hili bordercrossing ?? Thanks to all. |

| Officially there are two: Godagari and Shona Mosjid As per Bangladesh Official Immigration website (www.immi.gov.bd), there are two checkposts listed in the arrival/departure port pull-down menu. They are: Godagari and Shona Mosjid. I never used any of them, but from a newspaper report (confirmed), "Shona Masjid-Mohadipur" check post has been opened for both cargo (mainly) and travellers (with valid visa) for a long time. There are also report that some travellers are also using "Godagari-Lalgola" checkpost. Communication at Shona Masjid is pretty good, but at Godagari it's very tough, you might have to walk miles or/and use boat to reach Lalgola (India).
