bangladesh to india to nepal by road

Hi, I'm keen to travel from bangladesh to india to nepal - I'm wondering how problematic the border crossings are, particularly Bangladesh to India (and back. Any advice would be welcome.

If you're travelling by bus between Bangladesh and India, the border crossings are tedious but efficient; they process a large number of people there and both sides want to see your passport, and look in your luggage. There are lots of people who will offer to change your takas to rupees while you're on your way from one office to another. (You do have to hold some takas back as there's a departure tax when leaving Bangladesh).

I guess it took something like 2-3 hours to get through that border and then continue on to Kolkata. The entire bus (and a short trip on a ferry) took 10-12 hours.

Going from India to Bangladesh wasn't so different. You'll probably need a new visa -- there's a thread about that here somewhere!
