Salut mes amis,

Let me make a little correction for my friend biswassb's quote

FOOLS GO WHERE ANGELS FEAR! Wrong,

WE DARE WHERE THE EAGLES FEAR.

Because in the series of adventures, I've learnt only one thing, that life's beyond fear, some people prefer to die in the bed and some on the edge of a glacier.

About the queries on the forum, yeah! we're trying to get rid of Musharaf, his allies like Benazir Bhutto and their backers (Iranian call it , Shaitan-e-Buzurg), and the time's come to do something for the democracy, the scrutiny for Pakistanis, if we use it, if we reap advantage of it, it'd be a mile stone, otherwise again the dictatorship and the darkness inside our souls, let’s see, who wins the battle.

Bon voyage,

Imran Schah

Imran, there are at least some in India who (despite some despair) are rooting for a democratic forward thinking Pakistan.... because we realise that an unstable Pakistan is no good for anybody, including us in India.

All the best.

Bonjour mes amis,

Yeah, I agree with you and I wish if our politicins'd the capability to realise that and they'd come to the table to settle the lingering disputes.

I hope they'll do it someday,

Ciao,

Imran Schah

Thanks, I can honestly say it was probably the best time I ever had travelling anywhere. I hope to return soon if the political climate allows.

muslims ...

my general experience in my contact with muslims has been positive. they are passionate people and so am i. i have often said, if they like you, they will give you all they have but if they don't like you, leave the country
if i ever head back that way, i will go to the himalayas again and probably kashmir. i really liked the kashmiris i met this trip. spent days talking with them about their lives and viewsand bought more than i needed to, of their jewellery no regrets.
i expect, pakistan might be a more dubious destination, at the moment

For me going there - is all about not having to worry about what part of Pakistan you visit. Kashmir, Baluchistan, Baltistan & Sindh all have their attractions/draws/mystic - 99% of the people would welcome you with open arms I'm sure. It's those 'human cluster bombs' few, yet as omnipresent as they may be that play heavily on the mind and make the whole scenario unappetizing at this present time in history.

Hi there CityMonk, I'm in Iran now, just been talking to a guy who came here from Pakistan, he said Chitral Valley was fine, but difficult to get to from the southern route (Lowari Pass), as the road from Peshawar passes through some of the trouble spots. Can only get there via Gilgit and Shandur Pass.
