Somebody be my friend!
|
Russian/English
My girlfriend will be moving over here (and you will all notice I act a lot less grumpy) in a month or two. While she doesn't need to have one, she wants to have a job here so that she can operate under the pretense that she is moving here as a career move, not just to be with me. I think the latter is a perfectly good reason
. She is Russian, but educated in the US, speaks English without an accent. She's absolutely brilliant (opposites attract). Can anyone think of companies that might do dealings with Russia here who might require someone like her. She currently works as a translator/media monitoring person for an American P.R. firm in Moscow. |

If she is coming on work permit then she can work here... there might not be many companies in Inda that would be looking for russian experts..even though demand for French, spanish and German experts is quite good. what you can do..you can try thr following websites (listed in order of popularity)..and search for the kind of opputunities available in Mumbai and can also upload her resume on these sites..(but make sure you upload that once she is physically available in India).. 1. www.naukri.com 2. www.monsterindia.com 3. www.timesjobs.com 4. www.jobsahead.com |

hi trinity,,u could ask her to get in touch with zee tele group
hi,
I rememeber meeting a russian couple along with a friend few months back, they were employed with the zee group on cash basis for translating their hindi programmes to be beamed in russia. If the venture of zee is still on..they would be glad to have an in house translator as they have a huge bank of programmes and they would be even into translating some of their tele movies. The ideal thing would be for u to get in touch with the zee office and personally speak to their talent search or casting people. Hopefully they should help. U would have to probably arrange for a tele conference and may be skype video call for the comfort level, if it works out, u would have to take a contract copy, appointment letter and letter to the embassy addressed to where she would be applying for and inshallah she may be here for a good one year with an option to extend it if applied within three months of expiry of the same at the fpro office. thanks |

There also used to be plenty Russian and Indian businessmen going to and fro right? (Well, and cheap holidaymakers perhaps.) If so, you'd think there's a market there.
I may be wrong, just a thought.
