Where can I find second hand and old camera shop ?
Looking to buy a old camera, dou you know a shop in chennai ?
Thanks
Thanks
Are you looking for antique shops ? or are you looking for a small camera , like the cybershot ones ? If you are looking for cyber shot, dslrs ,then ellis road is the place . Or you can try the local freeads as well .

Not sure about the manuals...
So, this is the place -
Burma Bazaar, just near (less then 100m) Rajaji Salai-Chandra Bose Rd. junction signal. I noted Canon F-1, eos 5, Nikon F-2, FM-2, ... (bodies), some interesting MF like Mamiya Super 23, and some manual lens as well (lens not impressive).
Yes , burma bazzar is also a good place , but foreigners ( indians from other parts of india ) need to be careful .
Most of the manuals are not kept well , and if the camera does work , they quote unreasonably high prices for the cameras .
Nikon FM10 might be easy to get . That is the only camera which every trader seems to know about .

I believe that this is ONE place and the only ONE shop as well. There are no more old film camera shops in Chennai. Sometimes you can see few such items on display but it looks like they are not willing to sell them - just asking some funny exorbitant prices

...but do not worth it, frankly
Burma Bazaar Beware Beware Beware!
Better have a very good idea of what you are buying and how much it should cost. Mrs N's advice on buying there is don't! Unless you know someone who knows someone there.
It's true that I did buy some Sanyo batteries there once, at a good price, and had no reason to believe that they were fake.
Of course, if you should happen to want pirate copies of movies, etc (and I'm sure those guys have the, how shall we put it, movies in which they wear less clothes, under their counters) then it is the place.
Interesting to look around, adventurous to shop!
I bought my Canon camera as a grey market item, but I got it from a camera shop in Spencer Plaza. If I was at all interested in spending that kind of money in Burma Bazaar, especially as a foreigner, I'd find myself a trusted contact with a contact first.

Nick, if something in this world can be sure - here it is: you will NOT find any fake *used film camera*
And people without expert knowledge are not the buyers in this domain. I believe the same applicable for musical instruments as well (I suppose you are very mach aware
). Second hand and old camera Shop
Hi,
One could find lot of shops which sell, old cameras in the lane which is off Wallajah Road, Chennai and runs at the back of "Devi theater"....
This lane starts near the "Anna Statue Subway" of Wallajah Road..
Alternatively there is a shop in the lane which runs adjacent to "Casino" theater....
