where can I buy an Easel (drawing board with stand)

Hi all,
Please let me know where can I buy an Easel (a drawing board with stand) in Chennai? probably at a cheaper price

Seriously... I don't know, but there are at least two possibilities I'd check out if I wanted one...

The chain store Odyssey has an arts department. Their main shop is in Adyar; certainly there is an arts materials section there, I think it may be smaller in the other stores.

There is an artists' supply shop in Royapettah. This is rather hidden away, but can be found. On the corner of the Royapettah High Road and Lloyds Road junction (this is a big complex junction where five roads appear to meet) there is a supermarket. Heading South, down Royapettah High Road (towards flyover and Mylapore), a couple of blocks is a small shopping centre that looks disused, but (I hope they are still there), inside, you will find a paper shop (ground floor) and an arts shop (first floor at the back). An artist that I met in a nearby cafe, once, told me it was the best in India!

and i want it as cheap as possible

i was also thinking of ordering to make, but am new to Chennai and donno any shop where i can order one of a good quality n good (for me) price. if i cant find a readymade in shop, have to find where to order it.

You would have to specify it exactly, and find a carpenter you could trust not to buy wood that would warp in a few weeks.

Hope you manage to find one in the shops! I'm sure you will.
