Used Lonely Planet India Book in Chennai

Where can I get a used Lonely Planet (or Rough Guide or Footprints etc) for India in Chennai? The new LP hits shelves in a week or so but don't think it will be in Chennai for a while and I leave town for travels up north in a week.

Thanks!

Would you want a LP from Sept 2005? I dont want it anymore so its a freebie. I'll be in Chennai on the Sept 3 if you want to meet up

Hi livingsimply,
I took the advice of lonely planet to dine in a resturant in bodhgaya and now i really want to thrash those lonely planet guys for recommending a resturant like this. I feel our forum is million times better then lonely planet.

Skink - that sounds great, but darnit, we leave Chennai on the 30th. Hmmmm...I may try to get a friend to pick it up and send it to me. Let me see if I can coordinate and get back to you. Where in Canada are you from? Went to school in Calgary and Montreal.

N Kumar - what was wrong with the restaurant? LP is usually pretty reliable (though not very imaginative) but I haven't used it much for India travel. Do you have other recommendations for books? The forum is great, but internet access is spotty for us on the road.

I live just outside London Ontario and will be in Chennai for about 16 hours. Can I leave it in the Egmore baggage room with your name on it?

Hi livingsimply,
He had a big board outside his resturant saying LP reccomendations.
On what basis did LP recommend this resturant :
1) Location
2) Food
3) Service
and i would rate this hotel 1/10.
He cooks alls type of food like south indian, north indian, thai, chinese, italian etc but non tasted like one.
I usally talk to auto guys, taxi guys and police for their advice on the resturants.
