| Trip to Kodaikanal - April 10-14 Hello! We were thinking of going to Kodaikanal on April 10. But I've just found out that all trains were already booked out for this day (surprisingly ) and the waiting lists for General Quota were really long (56 - 280) There are still some Foreign Tourist Quota tickets available (not many though) but I can only buy them at reservation offices that have a tourist window, right?Could you please advise me where I can find these reservation offices with foreign tourist quota tickets? Or do you know about any good travel agency here in Chennai that can help me to get any tickets (bus tickets as well) to Kodaikanal? Thanks! |

| Tkts to Kodai Hi Petra, Which part of Chennai do you reside ? U didnt mention the return date. There are authorised agents of Indian Railways who can book tickets for you. One of them has an office in Anna Nagar. You can call him over phone and check the availability. If the tickets are available in any class including tatkal then you may ask your driver to go and collect the tickets. his name is Syed. His mobile number is 9444010481. You can either take a train to Madurai and get down at Kodai road and then take a cab to Kodai or take a train from Chennai to Palani and then take a cab uphill. Would you need more info Petra, do send a Pvt message. Regards, Raghu

| I would still suggest you to book a ticket directly on tatkal as Santos recommended. But you should be fast enough (at 8am), on 5 days before your travel. And it is going to be peak season - 'summer holidays'.....

| Hello guys! Thanks for your advises. Finally I was able to get Foreign Tourist Quota tickets although the guy at the reservation office didn't like our entry and business visa very much ![]() |
