Hi
Your Travel Plan is not clear.
Why do you need Day 1 for travelling fm Hyd to Chennai. Cant you take a eve traing from Hyd and reach Chennai the next day morning. In which case you would have full four days at your disposal.
Secondly, travelling from Chennai to Kanchipuram is just a two hour drive. Chennai to Kanchi distance is about 80 Kms. At the 42 nd Km you can visit the ancient Sriperumpudur Temple and Rajiv Gandhi Memorial if interested.
Two full days is enough to Complete Sriperumbudur and Kanchipuram. On the third day you can visit the Golden Temple at Sripuram near Vellore. I would suggest that after completing Kanchi proceed to Vellore for the night halt. If you have time in the evening when you reach Vellore you may visit the Vellore Fort.
On third day you may visit the Golden temple and move towards Tiruthani. After visiting Tiruthani, try to visit Sholinghur which is close to Tiruthani. there are two temples the Yoga Narasimha swamy temple and the Anjaneya temple both situated atop a hill. I guess the Narasimha temple is about 1400 steps. If there are elders in your group there are dholis available to carry up to the top.

I hope the above helps. shoot your queries in case you have some.

Max of two hours from Kanchi as it is on the Bangalore national highway. The roads are excellent.

Hi,
Can you be little more specific about this 3 times Archana at Ambal temple (I hope you are talking about Kanchi kamakshi Amman Temple)
1 time Archana in Shiva temple....Which temple are you talking about....(Ekambareswarar temple or Kailasanadhar temple)
Do you have any specific offerings to be done..? Why am I asking you this is becasue you mentioned 3 times archana.
Vellore is just 1.2 hours travel from Kanchipuram.
Taking 5 days of your trip
Day 1: Assuming that you are in chennai on the morning. (Chennai express reaches around 5.50 am to central) You can finish Kanchipuram temples and stay there. (Enroute you can see, Sriperumbudhur temple, Rajiv Gandhi Memorial)
Day 2: Travel to Vellore [B, Enroute you can see Rathnagiri Murugan temple which is Just 12kms before vellore)[/B] and then to Sripuram. See Vellore Fort and stay back in Vellore
Day 3: Travel to Tiruthani, Finish Dharshan, Enroute to Chennai visit Veeraraghava Swamy temple, Tiruvallur,
Day 4: Take a Hop on Hop off tour to Mahabalipuram.
Day 5: Visit Parthasarathy Temple, Karpagaambal & Kapaleeswarar temple, Fort St George and you can pack your bags to hyd.
All the above plan is drafted assuming that you dont have any specific offerings to be made in kanchipuram.

Hi Prasad,
Thanks for your reply.
I have seen all the places mentions by you except tiruttani and Vellore temples.
I had previously done 3 times archana in Kamakshi Ambal temple. To perform complete pooja to kanchi kamakshi Ambal 3 times archana performed there is a must. since 3 times archana in ambal temple, public is allowed by paid tickets booked in advance, ekambranathar temple its private. But we have archana tickets for abhishekam only for morning time.
For The 3 times archana we offer, A Saree, big flower mala, flower hair hanging (jada).
Early morning Archana is Prabhata Kalaarchana where we hear suprabhatam, gjapooja, goopooja, pallaki utsavam, abhishekam and shodahopachara pooja.
Mid day archana is madhyahikaarachanam, where archana is performed with kumkum with chamting of sahasra namas, sri chakra archana and abishekam.
Evening archana is the sayanakalarchana where abhishekam is followed by rajopachara pooja and 9 types of arathi. There end the complete pooja cycle for the day. The flowers and the sarees submitted in this time of archana whill be on the deity for the compete day till next day morning.
I have planned my trip for these poojas at kanchipuram but I want to know whether I can see any other places around in the leasure time..
