Travel time from Woodlands hotel to airport?

Hi,
To catch a 7 a.m. morning flight from Chennai airport, what would be the safest time to leave Hotel New Woodlands, Dr.Radhakrishnan Road,Mylapore?

Since there won't be much traffic during that hour, will 4. am. be ok?
Will there be any taxis available at that hour from this hotel area?

I would be surprised if it took longer than an hour to get there.

But you do not tell us if this is a domestic or internatiional flight.

International, I think you are supposed to reach the airport three hours before the flight. Maybe two would be ok.

Yes, cars will be easily available, but should be pre-booked. Either the hotel reception will do that for you or they will refer you to a car company. There used to be a small travels company office in the grounds of the hotel...

If its a domestic flight then you need to be in the airport 1 hour before depature...
if its international - then its 3 hours aspointed out.
for a 7am flight- and domestic leave by 0530 hrs- you will be in the airport by 0605- take the beach road, through rajbhavan to the airport.
if its an internatioal flight- leave by 0330 you will be at the airport by 0415.

edit: Just saw that you had posted this on the 28th of December.. guessing you are out of chennai by now! sorry!
