which city?
Most of the bigger cities in India have pre-paid taxi services at the airport after customs clearence and their prices are fixed according to the distances.

Chennai has pre-paid taxi service right next to the airport gate after crossing customs and bagage claim area.

Radha Park Hotel is not located deep inside Chennai city. Its more on the outskirts but other side of the outskirts in Arumbakkam. It is close to Poonamallee High road and the hospitals in that area. The cost of taxis dont change much. Its the standard rate usually..whether you are going to Arumbakkam or Teynampet or Adyar or Porur..its all going to be the same. Last time I went to Chennai in 2002 it was 275 bucks..I dont know if it has gone up since then. Radha park is a nice moderate hotel. They have a buffet nights which is a good value. There was also a disco at one point, not a very happening disco but still it was a disco..rare in chennai...

In Chennai there are two pre-paid booths. Get a price from each because I think we were overcharged a little ( I met a guy and we 'shared ' a cab with two drop offs and somehow it didn't quite add up... not a great deal and we were very tired after the flight and just didn't care ! )

Always worth comparing just to keep the companies on their toes
