Hello all,
Can anyone tell me what are the best placs that can be visited n and around Tiruchirapally in 2 days? Are the Navagraha temples close to Trichy? Can they be covered in 2 days? sorry if I am repeating the query. I searched for the navagraha temples in the forum, but couldn't find much information except for one statiing the location of the nine temples. Thanks |

The navagraha temples are close to Kumbakonam. If you can keep kumbakonam as the base and hire a car, you can cover all 9 temples in two days..

Hi PRS,
You can visit Srirangam, Ranganatha swamy Temple which is very close to Tiruchi. Pl visit the below link for more info. http://www.srirangam.co.in/ Then the Ucchi Pillayar Koil in Tiruchi itself. http://www.thiruchyrockfort.org/index-1.html The distance between Tiruchi and Kumbakonam is about 98 Kms and can be covered in about 2 hours and 15 minutes by road. As mentioned by Arun, you can keep Kumbakonam as your base and visit the numerous temples in and around Kumbakonam and also the Navagraha temples. Check out the below link and click on navagraha sthalam on to your left and you would have complete info about all the Nine Temples including the location, distance and temple timings. www.kumbakonam.info Hope the abovr helps. Hi,
I have attached a route map for all the Navagraha temples for your use. As advised by others, do select kumbakonam as your base. You can cover all the navagraha temples and also you can enjoy the tranquility of all the magnificent temples of kumbakonam. EDIT: The map is in tamil. I am still looking for a one in English Regards B.S.Prasad |
